Institutional Theory and the Challenges of Context.其实波特00年的评论国家竞争力的书已经包括了部分观点.这个理论,我会推荐这本书: Peter Hall and SDavid Soskice, Virieties of Capitalism: the institutional foundations of competitive advantages, Oxford University Press. 应该是红色封皮的.读起来很有趣味,而且拿5个球来表示观点很简洁并有概括性. 书中还有不少国家的案例.

Process Studies of Strategy – and the Practice Alternative 这是欧洲的特点,注重定性. 也许是未来的一种趋势.就是关键是"implmentation".大概观点的了解可以看这2篇文章:
1. Pettigrew AP (1992), The Character and Significance of Strategy Process Research, Strategic Management Journal, 13, 5-16
2. Whittington R. (2002), Strategy as Practice: Integrating and Developing a Field, Academy of Management Proceedings (available Business Source Premier).

Economics of Strategy.这是我最喜欢的题目.讨论了战略管理,经济学,社会学的区别和联系.讨论那些问题运用了很多学科的知识和逻辑.一些大概的介绍材料:

2. Baum J.  and Dobbin F (2000), Advances in Strategic Management: Economics Meets Sociology in Strategy, Vol 17, JAI Press (chapters to be specified)

大家感兴趣的话,可以讨论这些题目,这些都是我很喜欢的问题:
1.Systematically compare and contrast the distinctive assumptions and contributions of economics and sociology to the strategy discipline.
2.Are there parts of strategy that economics simply cannot reach? Why?
3.What are the advantages and what are the disadvantages of strategy being a disciplinarily plural (or fragmented) field?
