Beijing to implement Euro IV emission standard

From January 1, 2008, fuel meeting the Euro IV emission standard will be supplied in Beijing, Du

Shaozhong, Vice Director of the Beijing Environmental Protection Bureau,  revealed on November 29. Prior to the 2008 Olympic Games, the Euro IV emission standard will be carried out for motor vehicles in Beijing ahead of schedule. By then, new vehicles will use the Euro IV standard and existing vehicles will continue with the Euro III emission standard.

Baosteel, SAIC launch wheel venture

The Baosteel Group and Shanghai Automotive Industry Corp have agreed to cooperate in automotive steel wheel production by establishing the Shanghai Baostell Wheels Co.Ltd.

SAIC, GM launch eighth joint venture

On November 29, General Motors, SAIC Group and Shanghai GM formally announced that the Shanghai OnStar Telematics Co. will be established. This will be the 8^th joint venture between GM and SAIC and the first of the GM subsidiary OnStar outside North America.

New Catalogue for the guidance of foreign investment industries takes effect

The new catalogue for the Guidance of Foreign Investment Industries (Modified in 2007) went into effect on December 1. Compared to the Catalogue implemented in 2004, the new Catalogue encourages foreign investors to establish R&D institution for complete vehicles and engines. The production of lighter cars and environmentally friendly new materials, and the development and manufacture of equipment for vehicle scrapping have also been included in the Catalogue.

General Manager of FAW Group becomes Deputy Goernor of Jilin province

The Standing Committee of the Jilin Municipal Peoples’s Congress has appointed Zhu Yanfeng as the Vice Governor of Jilin province.

Denso to enlarge capacity in China

Jampan’s Denso Corporation has decided to expand its manufacturing of engine components and automotive air conditioners in China. The company plans to lift China sales revenue to 220 billion JPY( about 1.98 billion USD) before the end of the 2010 fiscal yesr. Denso had originally planned a 150 billion JPY ( about 1.35 billion USD) target before the 2010 fiscal year, but due to unexpected rapid growth in China’s auto market, this target is likely to be realized at the end of the current fiscal year.

 

北京重组汽车零部件平台

12月3日投资10亿元的北京海纳川汽车部件股份有限公司已挂牌成立。今后，北汽的零部件将统一到该平台下进行整合和重组，新的零部件项目也由其出资组建。

在挂牌仪式上，北汽控股董事长徐和谊介绍，目前已有12家企业纳入北京海纳川旗下，包括北京飞驰汽车电器科技有限公司、北京江森汽车部件公司、北京德尔福汽车安全产品公司等

2007年前10个月摩托车产销双双超过2000万辆

据中国汽车工业协会统计，2007年1-10月，摩托车产销形势保持良好，产销同比增幅保持两位数快速增长的同时，双双超过2000万辆，分别达到2054.13万辆和2058.13万辆，同比分别增长16.00%和17.42%。

法院已批准TRW收购德尔福Saginaw底盘厂

纽约消息(2007-12-03 )——一位美国破产法院的法官批准了德尔福(Delphi)向天合(TRW Automotive)以4260万美元的价格出售位于萨吉诺(Saginaw)的底盘厂的计划。

 

该工厂年销售额为9.25亿美元，德尔福没有收到其它竞争性的竞标。 去年通用把它的刹车及车桥部件的采购合同由德尔福转向了天合，而此时忙于破产保护的德尔福又在考虑该“甩掉”那些业务，天合公司下属的天合底盘系统部门(TRW Integrated Chassis Systems)就成了该工厂买家的主要候选人。
