In addition, it authorizes the formation of a project team to create and implement a Project Management Plan for the definition, analysis, design, development, testing and deployment of the Consumer Banking System. Effective 15-Feb-09, Ng Yee Hong will serve as Project Manager in charge of the Consumer Banking System Project. Ng Yee Hong continues to report to Wong Yuan Hua during this assignment. 2 PROJECT execUTIVE SUMMARY The goal of this project is to extend People’s Bank Banking System to provide 24 hrs Internet-based consumer banking service to be launched by 15-Apr-2010. 3 SPONSORS Role Name & Title executive Sponsor Lee Ming Yong, executive VP, Consumer Banking Project Sponsor Wong Yuan Hua, Director of Banking Technologies 4 Objectives • Implement a stable, robust, efficient and maintainable system with a web-based graphical user interface for launch by 15-Apr-2010. • Meet the regulatory rules and regulations, reporting requirements and audits, and required documentation. ICPM323: Introduction to Project Management Final Project, Dec 2008 Chartered Institute of Technology Page 3 of 5 5 Scope 5.1 In-Scope The scope of this project is bounded by the following requirements: • Implement the Internal banking system hardware infrastructure and network. • Develop, test and deploy the Internet System Application. • Interface with billing, settlement and corporate accounting system. • Provide training and documentation for Helpdesk support. • Deployment and configuration. • Transfer system operation and maintenance to the System Support Team. 5.2 Out-of-Scope • Data centre hosting facility for the Internet banking system. This will come under the responsibility of Corporate Infrastructure Team • Data migration from current desk-based system is required for implementation of this project.
