Reporting to: IT Director
Subordinates: Software Developer (4-6) 1. Job Objective: (one sentence)
Lead development team towards developing agile, standardized and reusable enterprise software for book (publishing, wholesale, retail), education services and 3PL businesses. 2. Job Responsibilities:
coach and supervise software development team
day to day team administration
provide support, feedback and expertise to team members
cooperate with other IT managers (IT infrastructure, business support)
manage competencies, measure performance of development team
cooperate with business departments, determine business requirements
manage vendors, negotiate service level agreements (SLA)
improve process quality
leverage latest technologies 3. Key Competences:

service oriented 4. Professional experience (type, number of years):
5+ years software development/engineering/architecture experience
2+ years project and team management experience
3+ years J2EE project experience
2+ years Website projects (PHP, Javascript, XHTML) work experience
2+ years in patterns, MVC, frameworks, SOA
1+ years Microsoft development projects (VB, VC, .Net) experience
experienced in software quality management and software development life cycle
IBM AS400 development experience is a plus 5. Education/Skills/Language(s) Required:
bachelor degree or above in computer science
fluent in English 7. Internal Relations: (Contacts with other departments / name of position)
coordinate with business support team and infrastructure team
all business departments 8. External Relations: (Contacts with outside companies, agencies etc.)
