VSM is the brief spelling of Value Stream Mapping which can be used for manufacturing process improvment like the Kaizen plan.

The major steps to implement the VSM are:

1. Identify the product

2. Create a current VSM status

3. Evaluate the current map, identify problem areas

4. Create a future state

5. Implement the final plan.

VSM is the systematic plan and effort and can be explained as the PDCA cycle.
