Young Man Automobiles and ZAP join hands

America’s ZAP Co. and Young Man Automobiles have recently announced that the two parties have signed a joint venture agreement, to produce electric and hybrid power vehicles. The joint venture will also be engaged in the development and manufacture of recharging infrastructure.

Young Man Automobiles will produce vehicles and other parts of the joint venture; ZAP will take care of the joint venture’s product sales, marketing and distribution.

Chery takes over Wuhu shipyard

Chery Motors has recently acquired the former Wuhu Shipyard and established the Wuhu Xinlian Shipbuilding Co.Ltd. after reorganization. Chery has expanded its business sphere via entering the ship building industry. On the other hand, the ship building industry will provide support to prompt delivery of Chery’s vehicle export.

江森自控预计2008财年利润将上涨

世界最大的汽车蓄电池制造商江森自控（Johnson Controls）近日透露：根据分析人士的估计结果，该公司预计在2008财年的利润将上涨18%，也就是说每股收益将在2.45美元至2.50美元之间。彭博通讯社根据分析人士的14份估计数据得出的平均每股收益值达到了2.53美元。公司还透露销售额将增长10%达到380亿美元。芝加哥Lehman Brothers的分析人士Brian Johnson说：“虽然北美的汽车行业目前处于较为困难的境况，但江森自控却会有这么高增长率，这说明该公司的多样化策略取得了成功。”

“万向”商标被授予中国驰名商标称号

近日，“萬向WANXIANG”商标被国家工商行政管理总局认定为中国驰名商标。这是万向继“钱潮”之后的第2家中国驰名商标。
