Ross
I believe I can fly!
Malcolm
Alrite troops,
el presidente has asked me to do a wee trip report of the walks last
weekend, for those of you who either weren't there or didnt have a clue
where/what we walked up.
Kick-off was supposed to be 9am on Sat, unfortunately a few poor souls didnt
get the time-changing email, and were left dossing about by the union from 8
till 9. Anyways, 20 folk piled into the van and 2 cars for the trip up to
the cobbler, near Arrochar. The weather started off a wee bit
character-building, with strong winds and heavy rain, as we all trudged up
the path. When we neared the top however, the rain stopped and the cloud
lifted slightly, giving glimpses of a view accross Argyll. From the top we
split up, some people heading off round the south peak, and some joining
Ross on his 2nd(!) trip up to the top that day and exploring the north peak.
After walking down in finer weather, we had a wee refreshment stop in the
village inn, a small but characterful little pub on the shores of loch long,
before the drive home. |
