其实管理世界也真奇妙:戴明有管理14点,克劳士比也贡献了质量管理程序的14个步骤:
真是星光灿烂、奇才比对,时至今日,英雄相惜之余,望能相忘于江湖。
1.管理层的承诺;Make it clear that management is committed to quality.
2.团队行动;Form quality improvement teams with representatives from each department.
3.设定标准;Determine where current and potential quality problem lie.
4.衡量质量成本;Evaluate the cost of quality and explain its use as a management.
5.增强质量意识;Raise the quality awareness and personal concern of all employees
6.制定纠正措施;Take actions to correct problems identified through previous steps.
7.开展零缺陷活动;Establish a committee for the zero defects programme.
8.开展员工教育;Train supervisors to actively carry out their part of the quality improvement programme.
9.开展“零缺陷日”活动;Hold a 'zero defect day' to let all employees realize that there has been a change.
10.设定目标;Encourage individuals to establish improvement goals for themselves and their group.

今天“书虫”啃了几章哲学书,学哲学自然而然谈到了物理学,学习到了量子力学“海德堡测不准原理”,讲到了在量子力学里电子的位置与动量是无法同时确定的。类似于光的“波粒二象性”原理。这其实是对传统科学--建立在因果律上的机械论与决定论的极大讽刺。
大胆遐想一下,质量管理科学里的很多案例其逻辑推理与原因分析也是建立在因果律上的,但它研究的受众其实是活生生的人与事,很多还是动态复杂性的问题。这样对吗?

Deming philosophy synopsis
The philosophy of W. Edwards Deming has been summarized as follows:
"Dr. W. Edwards Deming taught that by adopting appropriate principles of management, organizations can increase quality and simultaneously reduce costs (by reducing waste, rework, staff attrition and litigation while increasing customer loyalty). The key is to practice continual improvement and think of manufacturing as a system, not as bits and pieces."In the 1970s, Dr. Deming's philosophy was summarized by some of his Japanese proponents with the following 'a'-versus-'b' comparison:

老一辈的人能活到90多,确实不易,“书虫”一直在揣测像戴明先生这样-----执着于一辈子干好一件事的专家,心无旁骛,潜心做学问,一生做的是自己喜欢的又是擅长的事,这就是原因吧!:)

读戴明的几部力作,总有一股醍醐灌顶的感觉,用句老子的话就是:“孰能浊以静之徐清,孰能安以动之徐生”。:D
