Henry Mintzberg, the Canadian management guru, also writes short stories in his spare time. I read many of his articles on management, strategy, and management education but never knew that he also wrote a few shourt stories. However, I downloaded one, Gopi's Farm, to read and found it left much to be desired. Mintzberg apparently is not J K Rowling or John Grisham! His story has good materials and I can see his intention of writing management fables much the way Spencer Johnson does (author of One Minute Manager, Who Moved My Cheese, and others). Well, Mintzberg is not Johnson and Gopi's Farm is no mouse moving cheese...
