Do not Stand At my Grave and Weep
请不要站在我的墓前哭泣

Do not stand at my grave and weep    别站在坟头伤心落泪，
I am not there, I do not sleep.       我没在那里安然入睡。
I am a thousand winds that blow.    我是四处荡漾的微风。
I am the diamond glint on snow.       我是雪中闪亮的钻石。
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.    我是照耀谷粒的阳光。
I am the gentle autumn rain.          我是温柔缠绵的秋雨。

此诗词作者及写作时间已不祥，但最有根据的是于1932年，在美国马利兰州巴尔的摩市，一位名为Mary Elizabeth Frye(1905- 2004)的女士，为了她的好友Margaret Schwarzkopf的母亲过世而写的作品。
由于此诗词本身并无名字，因此，一般人就以其第一句「Do not stand at my grave and weep」来命名。

在1995年英国一名青年在爱尔兰共和军袭击下牺牲，临死前把一封信交给父母，请他们在他离世后打开，信内就是这一首诗，经过传媒的报道后，得到广泛的回响。
而2001年，美国911恐怖袭击事件后在一个追悼仪式中，一位11岁的少女在会中读出此诗，以表达她在911事件中丧生的父亲的追思，使此诗在一次成为话题。
