Activities are confined to those specifically permitted under the rules governing China Representative offices.
POSITION OVERVIEW The Payroll Services Liaison is one of a larger team, located at the China (Shanghai) office, with direct responsibility of providing liaison services supporting specific payroll administration and query handling in both English and Mandarin, for clients in throughout the Asia Pacific region using the GlobalView Solution. OBJECTIVES To assist the support organization in the production of timely and accurate pays, transfer of funds (EFT) and delivery of appropriate reports to Clients. To ensure that the service delivery complies with Chinese statutory obligations and with Client policies. To help clients with reviewing quality controls in the payroll process and to maintain client payroll manuals on the common drive. Follow processes eg for reconciliation, how to manuals, test tools To work pro-actively to provide a high level of client service in the Chinese Market, understanding that the role is carried out for and on behalf of the client. To interpret, escalate and assist in the response to queries raised by clients and their employees in English and Mandarin for queries relating to the payroll service provided Work with Team Leader to ensure country/client China specific payroll procedure documentation is kept up to date. For new customer/country's, work with the Implementation Lead to document the processes, perform acceptance testing and understand and process the parallel runs and into live processing. KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS Help achieve customer satisfaction rating of 98% Assist Zero error in each pay run and delivered within timeframes as stated in SLA Knowledge transfer and information sharing to new team members Account for time usage Maintain current documentation for specific customers and allocated countries Resolution of issues within agreed Service Levels within SLA timeframes 100% adherence to processes. Qualifications Background in Finance or HR Language skills English and Mandarin minimum - Cantonese, Japanese and or Korean would also be advantageous Relevant Experience & Skills Payroll functional skills - Payroll expert Sound communication skills Time management skills (prioritise tasks, plan and think ahead) Multi-tasking (multiple payrolls, multiple countries) Adaptability to changing circumstances Being able to work under pressure Accuracy and analytical skills Essential Competencies Well developed inter personal skills, with an ability to communicate well at all levels. Bi-Lingual in Mandarin and English Good organisational skills Self starter, able to work effectively without continued supervision. Work confidently Customer service focused.
