Honeywell launches its iridium ignition plug

Honeywell launches super iridium ignition plug in Chinese market. The iridium ignition plug features an extremely fine-wire 0.6mm iridium center electrode and a platinum ground electrode to ensure highest driving performance and energy economic.

Small engine vehicles face policy restriction

The Technology condition for Energy Conservation and Environmentally Friendly Small Engine Vehicles, a local standard in Shanghai, has been approved by the Quality Supervision. Inspection and Quarantine of China and will be implemented on December 1 2007.

Insiders say that how to improve small engine vehicles’ technology level, especially engine with small displacement, has become an imperative issue for automakers. Implementation of the technology criterion is the final warning alarm to small engine vehicle manufactures.

Beiqi Foton and DaimlerChrysler’s cooperation agreement postponed

The impact on its Chinese cooperation partners brought by DaimlerChrysler’s alteration is now showing gradually. Beiqi Foton has recently announced that the completion time and deadline for DaimlerChrysler subscribing for Foton’s stocks will be postponed for six months.

Insiders say that DaimlerChrysler’s split has affected further development of its projects in China, including Beijing-Benz. According to a manager from BAIC, a formal dealing result about Beijing-Benz and DaimlerChrysler’s other investment projects in China will be available after September.

MAN AG and Weichai Power to launch joint venture

Germany’s MAN AG and Weichai Power will launch a joint venture so as to maintain a long-term cooperation relationship.

President of  MAN AG claims that the two parties have signed an intention letter. He says that MAN must come to China because the Chinese market is too important. At least, MAN will enlarge the cooperation with Weichai Power and to increase investment in China.

“中国造”风波，未冲击美重卡零件市场

美国一项最新调查显示，消费者对“中国造”产品的质量问题成见正在发生改变。

最近，一些“中国造”产品因质量问题被召回的事件引起了消费者的广泛关注和讨论，不过，这并没有影响重型卡车经销商及集团用户采购“中国造”零部件。

调查显示，42%的重型卡车经销商关心其从中国进口的产品质量，因为购买中国产品的顾客占到了64%，其中比较受关注的是产品的生产材料、工艺水平，以及生产水平是否达到美国的标准要求，特别是相关安全标准要求。

对于涉及安全的零部件，比如转向轴承、制动磨擦片材料或转向器总成等，由于这些产品的特殊性，经销商会更关注其生产线。经销商希望这些产品能达到更高的质量标准，以便能在市场上更好地投放。

调查还显示，一些经销商已经停止销售部分中国造产品，因为担心这些产品可能不会热销或根本不会热销。有些经销商虽然仍在销售，但会加强对产品及生产环节的审核，以确定这些产品是否达到美国的相关标准。另外一些经销商已停止销售“中国造”产品，虽然有个别经销商这么做是处于对产品市场定位的考虑

博世调查欧洲防侧滑装置的新车配备率 

德国博世（Bosch）调查了2006年欧洲不同国家及车型的ESC（防侧滑装置）配备率，并公布了结果。

 

在整个欧洲，新车注册车的ESC配备率从2005年的40％上升到了43％。从不同国家来看，2006年配备率最高的是瑞典，达91％。继其之后依次为德国（77％）、西班牙（50％）和法国（43％）。英国和比利时达到了40％，荷兰及意大利达到了30％。

 

在欧洲主要5国（英国、法国、德国、意大利、西班牙），从不同车型的新车的ESC配备率来看，高级车与小型车存在较大差距。高级车的配备率几乎为100％，而迷你级别则为15％，比迷你级别稍大的小型级别仅为13％。ESC配备率大幅提高的原因在于更高一级的紧凑级别，该级别的配备率2006年达到了69％。

 

据博世介绍，欧洲委员会提出了到2012年全部新车均配备ESC的目标。

德国大陆集团考虑改制成非上市公司

据国际先驱论坛报报道，德国大陆集团股份公司总裁Manfred Wennemer表示，对博世集团的非上市经营形式很感兴趣，要考虑这种形式是否可行。在并购西门子威迪欧之后，大陆并无意成为汽车零部件“老大”。

 

　　业界指出，非上市公司不必每季度报告财务状况，不受股东短期利益要求的影响，所以相对“自由”。但在筹集资金实施像并购西门子威迪欧这么大的并购（114亿欧元）时就不那么顺利了。
