这篇文章是《管理》第3集上的。
6Sigma天生就是基于过程的改善，不管是DMAIC还是DFSS，前者着眼于对现有流程的改善，而后者（Design for Six Sigma）是通过在设计阶段就导入6Sigma方法来使过程在设计时就能达到最优化的状态。所以6Sigma的核心就是一个公式：Y=F(X), Y是过程的输出，X是过程的输入（包括允许输入和噪音输入），而F就是过程本身。6Sigma通过减小输入变异，改善过程本身来取得输出的最优化。

流程管理同时可以解决戴明所提出的一些问题：打破组织部门间的栅栏，改善系统本身而不是要求现场员工永远不要出错等等。
